Injectable Treatments
General Pre-Treatment Instructions
(Applies to all injectable services)
Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, NSAIDs, vitamin E, and fish oils for at least one week before treatment
Avoid alcohol for a few days before your appointment
Do not schedule routine procedures (dental work, colonoscopy, etc.) within two weeks before or after treatment
Do not receive any vaccine within two weeks before or after treatment
Take Arnica and eat pineapple or drink pineapple juice (contains bromelain) in the days before if you tend to bruise easily
If you have a history of facial cold sores, notify us prior to treatment — preventative medication may be recommended
Contraindications — please inform us if any of the following apply:
Immune system diseases
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Coagulation or bleeding disorders
Active skin infection or inflammation in the treatment area
Oncology or active chemotherapy
Tendency toward keloid scarring
Non-absorbable implants (e.g., silicone) in the treatment area

Minor discomfort is normal. Contact us immediately if you experience severe pain, skin blanching, or unusual discoloration — these may indicate a serious complication
Swelling and bruising are normal and may last up to two weeks
Avoid touching or massaging the treated area for the first 24 hours
You may shower and apply makeup the following day
Avoid exercise and alcohol for 24 hours after treatment
Avoid sunbathing and extreme cold until redness and swelling subside
Arnica and pineapple/bromelain can help reduce bruising

Massage the treated areas for five (5) minutes, five (5) times a day, for five (5) days as demonstrated at your appointment
Swelling and bruising are normal and may last up to two weeks
You may shower and apply makeup the following day
Avoid exercise and alcohol for 24 hours after treatment
Avoid sunbathing and extreme cold until redness and swelling subside
Expect initial fullness to return to baseline within one to two days — results develop gradually over two to three months
Follow-up injections are typically recommended monthly for a total of three sessions; results last two or more years

Swelling and bruising are normal and may last up to two weeks
Pain at insertion points is normal and may last several days. Contact us if pain persists beyond two weeks
You may shower and apply makeup the following day
Results are noticeable immediately; maximum effect occurs at four to six months
Arnica and pineapple/bromelain can help reduce bruising
Avoid the following:
Excessive facial movement or animation for two weeks
Massage or manipulation of the treated tissue for two weeks
RF, IPL, laser, or microneedling treatments for two months
Strenuous exercise for one week
Steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs, or unclean/high-temperature water sources for two weeks

Do not lie down for four hours following treatment
Avoid exercise for 24 hours after treatment
Facial exercises in the treated area are encouraged
Avoid touching, massaging, or having facials done on the treated area the day of your appointment
Results begin in three to five days; full effect is visible at two weeks
A touch-up may be needed at two weeks — contact us if you have not seen the desired effect
Results typically last three to four months

Mild swelling and bruising are normal and expected for several days
Avoid touching the area or applying makeup for 24 hours
Avoid exercise, heat, and alcohol for 48 hours
Stay well hydrated; avoid alcohol for 24 to 48 hours
Results improve progressively over several weeks as your body responds to the PRF

Pre- Care:
One week before: discontinue use of retinoids, hydroquinone, benzoyl peroxide, and topical acne medications; use a gentle cleanser only
Two weeks before: refrain from waxing, laser treatments, or any other procedures in the area
Notify us if you have a history of cold sores — preventative medication may be recommended
Post- Care:
Do not pick or pull at peeling skin — this can cause scarring
Skin will take four to ten days to fully peel depending on peel strength
Avoid scrubbing, exfoliants, retinoids, glycolic acid, hydroquinone, and acne medications until skin has fully healed
Cleanse gently and moisturize daily; reapply moisturizer as needed throughout the day — skin should never feel cracked or sore
Drink at least three 8-ounce glasses of water per day
Avoid waxing, tanning, or sunbeds for three weeks
Avoid exercise, saunas, and heat-inducing activities for 48 hours
Wear SPF 30+ daily for at least three months after your last treatment; reapply every two hours if outdoors
Contact us if you notice blistering, unusual pigment changes, crusting, or any abnormal healing

Redness, mild swelling, and occasional pinpoint bleeding immediately after treatment are normal
Swelling typically peaks the first morning after treatment and resolves within one to two days
Skin may feel dry, peel, or flake as new skin regenerates — this is expected and resolves within five to seven days
Do not wash your face for at least four hours after treatment
Do not pick, scratch, or scrub your face
Avoid NSAIDs (ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil), ice, and arnica — these can interfere with the natural healing process
Avoid hot tubs, saunas, strenuous exercise, and heat-inducing activities
Starting the day after treatment: cleanse gently, moisturize, and wear SPF daily
Avoid alcohol, smoking, excessive sweating, and sun exposure for the first week

Avoid direct sun exposure; wear SPF 30+ daily
Do not use retinoids or exfoliating acids for three to five days after treatment
Avoid heavy exercise and excessive sweating for 24 hours

Do not introduce new skincare products or modify your prescribed regimen without consulting your specialist
Do not pick or pop breakouts
An initial purging period is normal as your skin adjusts — your specialist will guide you through it
Attend all bi-weekly appointments to ensure proper progress and product adjustments
